Pick it up - well worth having in your bag of tricks. Having played soccer for decades, this book helped me when it came time to coach my first very young team. There are some great ideas and the book is very good at preparing a coach for the mindset of coaching very young players.

I would recommend this book to any beginning coach. The practice games support the development of soccer skills for children this age. This book is well-written with the developmental issues of children in mind. It gave lots of insight into how children learn, how they play, and strategies in working with different children.

The book gives great ideas on keeping it fun, and what to expect in development over the year. The book is fairly basic and quick read, does give perspective on both the activities and expectations you should set for the kids which is simply to have fun and learn about the game.

This is a great book at a great value. There are great drills and practice schedules to use. Awesome book. I've been coaching my son's soccer team for the past 3 seasons and this book is an outstanding supplement.
